Founder, Learn Diesel
I’m Lester Burkes, a U.S. Army veteran who started out as a diesel mechanic in the Army. I learned diesel the hard way: on the job, under real pressure, with equipment that had to run.
Why I started Learn Diesel
Learn Diesel is the resource I wish I’d had when I was coming up: honest career advice, practical shop knowledge, and the study help I would have paid for when I was preparing for my ASE tests. Everything here is written from the shop floor, not from a textbook.
What you’ll find here
- ASE study guides that break down every T-Series test by content area, with practice questions and study plans.
- Learn Diesel Prep, where you can take ASE-style practice tests and get an instant explanation for every answer.
- Learn Diesel on YouTube, with hands-on repair, tools and troubleshooting videos.
- Career guides for anyone thinking about a future in the diesel industry.
